Love Unexpected by Jody Hedlund

Love, Love, Love!    I read this in two days and hated it to end.  I especially enjoyed that it was based in Michigan (my home state).  Sometimes you can read a book and figure out the ending.   This book had a few surprises.  I loved the characters - Emma and Patrick.  They both came from dysfunctional families. They both wanted something more and worked through their vulnerabilities to achieve their dreams.  Highly recommend.

I loved that I got this free from Baker Books to review.

This is Book One......Jody, hurry up and give me a Book Two....I'm ready for another sleepless night.

To Everything A Season

I love everything Lauraine Snelling writes.  Her books are written especially well.  The stories are a pleasure to read.  Her characters are so realistic and believable.  Each character has a journey and what a delight to take it with them!

This book can stand alone but it is part of a continuing story.  I wait not so patiently for the next book of this series.

I want to thank Baker Books in giving me this book free to review.

Another winner- A Light in the Wilderness

Just finished this book.  It was a slow go at the beginning but once I was in Chapter 4 or so......I was hooked.  I enjoyed getting to know Letitia and the relationship she had with the other women she met on her journey.  I was so mad and wanted to shake Letitia's significant other...........I felt the sadness, relief and strength of Letitia while reading this book.  Wonderful read.  Highly recommend.

I received this free from Baker Publishing to review.   What a great gift.

Love's Fortune - must read

I just finished Love's Fortune by Laura Frantz.  I loved the historical background and the characters.  I really didn't know how it was going to end.  I enjoyed the plot and sympathized with Wren.  What it must felt like for her during her struggles and worries.  Now onto the sequel......

A Bride In Store by Melissa Jagears

This is a fast read.  I don't want to put it down.  I have come to love Eliza and Will and want the two of them to get together.  There are some story twists that even surprised me.  I particularly love western romances and this fits the bill.  I recommend this to anyone who loves westerns and/or Christian romance.

I received this free from Bethany.   I give it 4 stars!

Miracle in a Dry Season

What a lovely story. I read it in one day. I loved the main characters. It was a simple story with so much meaning in it. I highly recommend. I felt a range of emotions while reading this. We need more people like Casewell in the world.

I received this book free from Baker  Books to review.  I would have gladly paid for it.  I can't wait to read more by this wonderful author.

A Match of Wits by Jen Turano

Just finished this book. It took me awhile to get into but once I got into a few chapters, I enjoyed it. It had humor and romance. I can see a sequel to this as it left some characters hanging......did Mr. Blackwell find love? How did the mine work out? Does Matilda find her soulmate? Just kidding, Matilda. It appears there was a book that preceded this one. I wish I read that one first and then this one.

Captured By Love by Jody Hedlund

Great story about Mackinaw Island in 1814.  I really enjoyed this book.  I loved the characters and their story.  I appreciated a lot more of the story as I have been to some of the places that were mentioned in the book.  I highly recommend this book to others that enjoy historical romance.

Reading while cruising

We just got back after a wonderful vacation cruising to Bahamas.  I made sure I packed a few essentials which included books and magazines.  I read quite fast so I can go through quite a few in a week.  I remember one vacation that I read everything that I had with me.  I had to search for a bookstore to add to my loot.

This trip I read Don Piper's book - 90 Minutes in Heaven.  I enjoyed the book.  I could have read much more about the 90 minutes than the people he met after he started telling people about it.  I felt good after reading this book and look forward to seeing my Dad and Grandparents.

Love Comes Home- A book I really enjoyed

Just finished Love Comes Home by Ann H. Gabhart.  I was given this book to read and preview but I would have gladly bought this.

Loved it!   I enjoyed every character in this book.  I cried when they cried and smiled when they smiled.  I appreciate Kate and her husband's devotion to each other through their sad ordeal.  So often you see families ripped apart when they go through this (trying not to spoil plot).  It makes me want to read more about this family.  It turned out to be "a feel good " book when you finished reading it.  I received this book free to read and review.  Wow.....what a treat!

STUCK TOGETHER BY MARY CONNEALY

I received this book for free from Bethany to review! I didn't read the previous books so that put me at a disadvantage. I enjoyed reading this as I am a Social Worker by trade and it went into detail how these two individuals were scared as children and how they healed. I was also impressed that they dealt with dementia and mental illness. This book had adventure, romance, humor and drama. You become attached to the characters and their struggles. I love reading Christian Romance and this fit the ticket. I recommend this if you enjoy Christian Fiction and westerns. I look forward to reading more of Mary Connealy's books.
