A Year of Mr. Maybes

Judy Leigh wrote this delightful story of growth and second chances.  Val was devastated when her marriage failed.  She didn't know what to do with herself.  So she packed up and bought her own place.

With this move, she got to know who she was and what she wanted out of life.  It made me think of myself after a divorce.  You question everything.  What did I do wrong?  You grieve not for what it was but you wished it was.  You take tiny steps at the beginning as it is new territory.  But with time, you almost don't recognize the women that you were.

I loved the story. Life can be so unexpected.  You make the most of it.  And you never know when Mr. Maybe might just turn up.

I received this ebook from Boldwood Books to review.  #BOLDWOODBOOKS. #BOOKANDTONIC

Judy Leigh is the bestselling author of A Grand Old Time and The Age of Misadventure and the doyenne of the ‘it’s never too late’ genre of women’s fiction. She has lived all over the UK from Liverpool to Cornwall, but currently resides in Somerset.
