Amish stories always attract my attention. I have visited Shipshewana in Indiana and Holmes County in Ohio. Both Amish communities. So naturally I was drawn to this book.
Leanna was a widow. She was happier as a widow than being married to her recently deceased husband. She was led to believe everything was her fault. Emotional abuse, that's what it's called.
But her life was about to change. An unexpected caller invited her to a special club: The Amish Widows Club.
This club led Leanna on a road of discovery. What did SHE want? What are her dreams?
A close neighbor and widower, Evan, decided it was time to make Leanna his frau. But he needed to dig deep and find out what he really wanted in life.
I loved the story. The characters were heartwarming. The Amish community was just what you would expect.
