Wartime for the Mill Girls

1930s.  England is at war. More women in the workforce than ever before. Briony and Jan Van Leyden are running the mill. They inherited the mill from Briony's parents.

The Van Leydens are great bosses. They truly cared for their staff. They became family.

I personally don't know how the country and the residents got through these difficult times.  But they did!  My mother is proof of that as she survived the war years when she lived in England as a child.

I couldn't put it down.  I enjoyed the story.
