After A Fashion by Jen Turano

I was ready for a good story and laugh.  I got both in this book.  I was even quite surprised how the book ended.  Oliver and Harriett's story was a delight.  I read this on a cruise and I was so happy I packed this book.  I enjoyed every page.

Buford is a great addition to the story.......he is an unexpected hero!  I'll be looking for more books by Ms. Turano in the future....maybe a sequel with Harriett's  friends?

The Creole Princess by Beth White

This was a delightful book of mystery and intrigue.  I learned so much about that time period....I didn't know that much about this subject manner.  Lyse And Rafa had a love that slowly developed over time.  Enjoyed their story as well as the historical background.  Beautifully written.  I have never read anything by Beth White before but I will in the future.

Great Read!

Anna's Crossing by Suzanne Woods Fisher

I go through spells where I don't pick up a book for a few days....maybe weeks. This book was sitting on my nightstand and I had every intention to start it. How I regret that I took so long to start this remarkable book about Anna. I was swept away by her journey. God had a plan for Anna. She trusted the Lord with all her being and he was faithful. I read this in two days. Great book. Highly recommend!

Where Trust Lies by Janette Oke

Just finished a delightful book by Janette Oke.  It is a story that the  Hallmark’s When Calls the Heart series is based on.   I read this in one night.  I didn’t want to put the book down.   I love Beth and her concern for others.  Jarrick is what every girl dreams for in a beau and he even wears an uniform.  The book took a turn that I didn’t expect.  It had me turning page to page hoping for a good outcome.  I highly recommend this book.

I received this book free from Revell to review.  I’m so glad I was lucky to get my hands onthis one.

Important life stories - It's Not Who You Know, It's Who you Are From Winners

I received this book free to review. I had never heard of Pat Williams. I am not a basketball fan. I enjoyed reading this book. I felt that the stories were relevant to anyone's life. You didn't have to be a sports enthusiast to enjoy reading this. I would recommend this for young people.

The Trouble With Patience

I read a lot of books. I started this book and thought "okay,,,,same story, predictable characters."  I was wrong.  I loved it.  I started to like Patience right away.  She could have lived her life easier by staying with her mother.  She was driven to make more out of her life.  She was determined to be a success in her business.  She was kind to others and a good friend to all.  This book was more than just a romance.  I enjoyed the many facets to this story.

I received this book free to review.

Beyond All Dreams by Elizabeth Camden

Really enjoyed this book. It was more than just a romance. Storyline behind romance was quite interesting. I loved Anna. She was strong and vulnerable. She was just what Luke needed. He was just right for her. Thank you for not writing the typical story. This is a must to read!

I received this free from Bethany Books to review.  I would have paid for this book.

Love Unexpected by Jody Hedlund

Love, Love, Love!    I read this in two days and hated it to end.  I especially enjoyed that it was based in Michigan (my home state).  Sometimes you can read a book and figure out the ending.   This book had a few surprises.  I loved the characters - Emma and Patrick.  They both came from dysfunctional families. They both wanted something more and worked through their vulnerabilities to achieve their dreams.  Highly recommend.

I loved that I got this free from Baker Books to review.

This is Book One......Jody, hurry up and give me a Book Two....I'm ready for another sleepless night.

To Everything A Season

I love everything Lauraine Snelling writes.  Her books are written especially well.  The stories are a pleasure to read.  Her characters are so realistic and believable.  Each character has a journey and what a delight to take it with them!

This book can stand alone but it is part of a continuing story.  I wait not so patiently for the next book of this series.

I want to thank Baker Books in giving me this book free to review.

Another winner- A Light in the Wilderness

Just finished this book.  It was a slow go at the beginning but once I was in Chapter 4 or so......I was hooked.  I enjoyed getting to know Letitia and the relationship she had with the other women she met on her journey.  I was so mad and wanted to shake Letitia's significant other...........I felt the sadness, relief and strength of Letitia while reading this book.  Wonderful read.  Highly recommend.

I received this free from Baker Publishing to review.   What a great gift.

Love's Fortune - must read

I just finished Love's Fortune by Laura Frantz.  I loved the historical background and the characters.  I really didn't know how it was going to end.  I enjoyed the plot and sympathized with Wren.  What it must felt like for her during her struggles and worries.  Now onto the sequel......

The Pick-Pocket Orphans

A sad but inspiring story of two young people who made the best of their unfortunate circumstances. Alice couldn't live with her fathe...
